Happy Easter

These are the times I miss small children. Mind you I don't miss them often , but this is one of those times LOL
I remember the excitement of Easter morning when I was a child...I would find this wonderful big basket full of all kinds of goodies. As I got older it came down to a new outfit for church and a chocolate bunny. For my own kids I hid eggs all over the house and filled baskets with little toys, puzzles and coloring books. It was a happy day and a big food day. The family would gather around our big dining table and celebrate...That time has passed..half of that family has passed and we are far away from our children and grandchildren. Funny how life changes...We had two Easters up here with Krista and it brought back old memories. We just had our Grandson prior to Easter so we got to enjoy some laughter...But this day will never be quite the same as it once was. There will be no egg hunt and no children laughing...I miss that.
We will however share the day with friends, also separated from their kids and grand kids...so there will be laughter.
I do hope everyone enjoys this day and if you have small children, treasure the moments because they fade quickly.

In Memory of a Great Lady

You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Tour heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting heaven and earthIt is called Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows,hills, valleys with lush green grass
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this special placeThere is always food and water and warm spring weather
The old and frail are young againThose who are maimed are made whole again
They play all day with each otherThere is only one thing missing
They are not with their special person who loved them on EarthSo each day they run and play until the day comeswhen one suddenly stops playing and looks up !
The nose twitches ! The ears are up !The eyes are staring !And this one suddenly runs from the group !
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet,you take him or her into your arms and embraceyour face is kissed again and again,and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated
