Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since my surgery and I can't believe how incredible I feel. I am so lucky to have had a good surgeon, as well as a willing body that seems to heal rapidly. Inside I still know I had something done, it's not painful, just a wee bit sore..not even enough to notice unless I think about it. Not sure I'm in the norm though because I hear from others that are still tired, hurting and not doing so well with food.
A lot of people were praying for me so I guess I have all of you to thank for my continued success. I'm not sure it would have been all this pleasant without all the support I've had.
My friend Marilynn has been an absolute rock, calling me with positive thought, driving me to meetings and just being an all round great friend. Ceil calls often, unfortunately she has been sick since my surgery, but she is very supportive...all my friends as well as my family have been just great. I am sure that has everything to do with my fast recovery.
Now I have to start thinking about holiday eating. I find that pre planning what I eat helps a great deal to stay on track and get all my protein in. Can't eat very much, so what I do eat has to be very good for me....Protein first!!! Then if I can fit anymore in (which at this point I can't), I go to the veggies. I'm learning to slow up...the hardest part of the whole thing...Rich is a big help there. He just gives me that look LOL
I go see my other Dr. today...see if I can't get off some of these *&^% pills. It was nice to dump the diabetic stuff but I still have 6 more I have to get rid of...officially LOL Read between THOSE lines.
Wishing everyone all the happiness you have brought into my life right back at you.........
